9690, Exhaust Leak (header and downpipe) Posted by Jen, Dec-06-01 09:12 AM I got a header and downpipe, however, they don't seem to fit perfectly and there is a gap. It's a sleeve type connection where the downpipe comes over the header part. I'm looking for ideas to tighten that sleeve fit so it won't leak. Anybody know of any clamps to use or anything else that could work? | |

What Road Race suggested was to cut the two pipes where they meet, and make a flange. Would cost around 60 bucks. But I don't think exhaust leaks really hurt that much (it's not like a boost leak or anything), so I don't really think it matters... | |

If you say nice things and don't use words like"hey greasemonkey" they'll prob do it free or like $5. Prob solved. | |
