If all you want to do is impress chicks, spend the 2k on a bodykit and paint. If you're going to turbo, rebuild. Definately bottom end, and i suggest you rebuild top end also. Our stock internals can handle boost, but not much, if you want to go over 5-6 psi, i'd suggest p&p, upgraded pistons, rods. And if you want to mess with the head, get some pt lifters, upgraded rockers, crane valve springs, ect. Its all up to you and whatever you want to do, if you want some serious hp, you're looking at spending a little money. If you just want the BOV sound, peice together a turbo kit for around 1k and slap it on, no guarentees your engine will hold up.

We really need to organize a campaign against questions that have been answered a million times over.

170-180 hp n/a? do you have that kind of money? lol. Our cars arent made for big hp without forced induction. If you want a fast DSM you're going to have to just save up the money and go turbo, or with a small budget, get a 75 shot of NOS lol, but i wouldnt suggest that with 160k miles.

hey shut up 420a; i think theres about to be a newbie fight....and those are always fun. emoji

man this site is awesome.

and just to answer the question at hand: in my opinion theres no reason to fix it if it aint broke (to summate the old saying). you might as well beat the shit out of the motor before throwing in some expensive internals. a 40-50 dollar towing fee is worth it IMO.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

My buddy did just that. He was gonna put a b18c engine in his Civic but he had the original b16 in there. So he fired a 150 shot of n2o while the car was in reverse. He had to fix more than he originally planned but it was fucking priceless to watch. Too bad none of us had a camera emoji
