lets set this straight right now..a 3" catback WILL IN NO WAY hurt power...any catback for us will show a gain, an NO LOW END LOSS WHATSOEVER..backpressure is fallacy and is complete BS...the faster an exhaust gas can get out the better..period...our cars just don't make a lot of power with a catback, at most you'll see 1-2hp, but the added release of gas pressure will make you more efficient and help out other mods in the end...for example- i had a freind with an ACR neon...his mods were header, 3" CATBACK, cai and udp...ran a 14.70 in the 1/4 dyno tested 135FWHP....

dood, you are -completely- wrong...

i was looking at dynos of a 3" n1 on a NT... it showed a 3whp gain in the upper rpms above the 2.5" n1.... and a -15- ft/lb loss in the mid rpms..

15 ft/lb loss

AND dynos show a 5-7 hp gain depending on the brand...

magnaflow-5
greddy- 5-6
apex 6-7

& a neon is ALOT lighter than a 2gnt... and geared better

quit talking all that shit, cos you really are giving out false information....

different people have different views on this...i myself HAVE NEVER seen a catback lose torque...i showed a 2ft/lb gain on my 2.75" catback when i had nearly no mods...as for you turbo8U...i have been around a whole lot longer than you....and in my expereince with all types of cars...i worked in a tuning shop with a DYNO...and have NEVER seen a catback lose torque no matter what size...and i can assure you i can find at least 50 people to agree with me...so before saying i'm talking shit..maybe you should consider that not everyone shares your opinion...i spoke what i had expereinced...i DON'T respond to post unless i know what i'm talking about and you have to remember that not every car is the same..i have seen plenty of cars(including 2gnt's) dyno and show gains with larger catbacks...

when copperclipse comes back, im gonna have him post his dyno graphs....

i dont care what your 50 people say, dyno graphs dont lie...

youll gain 1-2 more peak HP from a 3" catback, and you WILL lose a lot of mid range torque...

like i said...everyone is going to think differently on this subject and thats that...you have your views and i have mine...i didn't lose any torque with a 2.5" header back (no cat) and i have almost no backpressure, hell i couldn't even tell a difference when i ran to the store with a completely open header with zero pressure..and my dyno didn't see ANY loss of torque ANYWHERE in the powerband..and no i don't have it on the comp so don't ask...i wasn't imposing my opninion on you..just offering a different view...so don't impose your view on me..cause frankly i couldn't care less what you think about...and no that wasn't aimed at anyone in malice...just my feelings..i have no hard feelings for anyone here..there i am done.
