I didn’t make it, I bought it off Ray (PureRage) about 2 years ago. It is just a 4" tube that is welded to a flange and it bolts right to the lower part of the stock intake. Shortens the runners about 3-4" and the stock part is ported open to match gaskets. Mated to the intake is a 70mm mustang TB. I made the adapter plate for it because Ray had it made to accept a 75mm. Next to the turbo and the Quaife it was the best mod done to the car. And to all the guys who say intake isn’t and wouldn’t be worth it you should definitely give it a try. The whole power band is affected in a positive way. Turbo spool is way quicker, throttle response it WAY better and top end it ridiculous. But keep in mind that this mod is done to a car that has about every mod under the sun. I don’t think it would be as beneficial on a NA car. I chose 70mm because my intake pipes are 2.5" and that keeps everything the same size. The TB took some building on my part as it wasn’t a bolt on item.

man that is nice! 3-4" is a difference atleast, faster air is more power at higher RPM's regardless. wow so you have 70mm Mustang TB, are the sensors similar to ours or you reused the stock ones? man i'm thinking of doing the samething, it seems like it's worth it. i'm surprised you haven't dynoed your car yet? or have you? you should have awesome gains with that alone.

Yeah, upper stage guys should definately venture into intake modification... with a mild p&p on my lower and upper plenum, as well as just a bored tb, I was sucking in a LOT more air up top (as well as all around probably). I bet Brian's mods ^^ above would yield good dyno #'s.

Looks more like a dodge Daytona engine bay to me. The valve cover is off a 2.4L turbo (PT Cruiser or SRT-4), who knows what the state of that engine is. I don't know that I would trust this guy, it doesn't look like he's running the idler pulley on the timing belt.

As for the sensors I have the stock TPS on and use the mustang's AIC. The TB has a valve that you can adjust w/ a hex wrench to fine tune your AI at idle. So I don't have an electrical AIC anymore. The only sensor on the TB is the TPS. For the TPS I had to do some work because the rod had different throttle position angles. I also had to build the part that the throttle cable goes to because the mustang one utilized a rod system.

Are you seriously saying, that from these pictures you can see the idler pully? shit, i have a hard time seeing it in first person. whatever. maybe im just a noob. Anyhow, that pcv hose is running awfully close to his timing belt though...
Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related. Step 1: Put down everything in your hands. Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it. Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you. If still nothing, your trying to hard. Start over at step 1.

ooops i think you're right, i didn't realize it 'cause i got that pic from neons.org and they mentioned that it come from a neon. so excuse me for the misinformation.

think you are right on the 2.5/srt hybrid... i beleive there allready was a daytona with a neon head +2.5 puting out an ungodly amt of torque on low rpm (498?? just under 500 ft/lbs low low in the powerband)
