That is great Hahn service. you can get just the bearings if you disassemble the assy and take out the bearing balls and go to a bearing distributor for replacements. you will not find the bearing sold as a part to replace yours.

i thought the stage 2 axles were desined to fit our cars.....you are saying they wont fit...where the hell are we supposed to get oversized hubs?

if your bearings are wore down so that they are not the right size i can measure the ones i have and let you know what size ball bearings you need.

I went to a bearing company and they said they have nothing. I am going to stop at detriot ball bearing monday and see if thay have anything. The axles i got from him have alot bigger spline on the axle and the hub is a steel hub and not cast. Pretty beffy. I don't really want to spend 179 on the hub assemblys to just dismantly them plus i was told they could get tweeked or broken pressing them on and then back in. Thanks

If you bought Bill Hahn's old axles, YOU HAVE STAGE *5* AXLES.

Bill illustrated all the requirements for those axles when he posted them for sale. This leads me to believe you did not have any idea what you were getting when you bought them. This makes me hate you, because i knew what they were and i wanted them.

Just sell them to me, and i'll send you some stage 2's in a few weeks, okay?

The only ones i know of that he had listed for sale were a used set of Stage 5's off the RS that required some hub work. You bought them for $500 correct?

yeah i paid 500 I seen him post in the utrbo section a while ago saying they were for sale and i e-mailed and then sent the money the next day. Hubs have 3ich studs also. He said that i could get bearings seperate. Then when i e-mailed after i couldn't find bearings he told me to go throw driveshaftshop adn get them but they don't sell bearings. So i dunno just gotta keep searching the bearings are the only thing holding me back from getthing the car going again.

is ther any damage to the hubs? when you swap them take your bearing out and put them in the new hubs. easy to do. I have a spare set of hubs i disassembled and repacked with wheel bearing grease.

NO screw the machine shop. All you have to do is put the bearing in the vise. where the bearings are/mount flange, grip that lightly in a vise so you can hammer in it without it pushing through the vise. You want to get a junk socket that is 1/4"-1/2" bigger than the splines. Place the socket over the splines and hit it whith a hammer a few times. you will see the bearing separate without any effort really. you really dont have to hit the assy hard, so dont go wailing on it. what really holds the bearing assy together is the large nut on the axle.

Good luck

Terry
