12.5CR is going to be very difficult to street without a LOT of tuning. Keep this in mind, the lower the CR, the easier it will be to tune the car. The higher the CR, the closer you will be to detonation, so you will have to keep a more vigilant eye on the engine to prevent damage. The gerenal consensus is that 10.5 is no problems (I've had mine for about 8k miles now and it's cake), 11.5 is going to be very tasty, but isn't really done, and that 12.5, while certainly not impossible, will be more work to keep tame an streetable. If you plan on putting the car to the track, 12.5 is the way to go, but if you don't want a monster (or a bitch) to tune to drive to work everyday, consider 10.5 or 11.5 CR.
Glad to hear another person is into the all-motor route! AFX ECUs are only for the 97s, but the people who've used them say they are great. I will have one here pretty soon myself.
You may want to search around and hear what people are syaing about cams as well. A lot of the people who get the 10s feel like they could've gone with teh 12s, and the people with the 12s think they could tolerate the 16s. I will be getting the 18s, or Crower 3s.
As far as how much hp to expect, I suggest you search the performance engine forum for "diabolical." I posted about my diabolocal all motor plans and there is a list in there of what I have and will be running. If anyone is going to be close to seeing 230hp at the crank, without a stand alone or quad throttle bodies, it's going to be me, but 230hp is a very optimistic estimate on my part. Just a target to shoot for.
Welcome!
