#63549, "420A Scatter Shield"

After read a number of posts on this forum like this one... http://forums.2gnt.com/dcboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=8&topic_id=52280&mesg_id=52280&listing_type=search

I would like to gauge interest in such a product.

The models currently in the line are 1G AWD, 1G FWD turbo, 2G AWD and FWD turbo and EVO VIII and if enough interest a 420A model.

Just curious,

Harry

what price rane are you gonna put these at what materials used ?

there is currently one available but it requires some modification to fit.

are these going to be NHRA legal?

Bill

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.

1/4" thick Stainless steel and so far all of my models are 4" wide.

All the tabs are professionally TIG welded and any required, included hardware is grade 8 or better.

I design shields to meet NHRA rules.

Pricing typically fall between $149.00-$199.00.

The catch is the demand must be there and I have to get my hands on a bellhousing.

That price looks good to stir up some demand here. I'd get one, but I'm still a ways off from that tho'.

Harry are you from RRE? If so I'm sure one of us SoCal guys must have an extra bell housing lying around. I could drop by, but my bell housing is still on the car LOL

I think there are only like maybe 30-40 of us that are over 300 hp. But its a good idea to keep in mind.

Hey Harry,
I am on the New England DSM list, where we are trying to get a group buy together on these. In one post to the list, you mentioned that there really are no SFI provisions for sport compacts. I was wondering what standards these would be built to. Would they be similar to the 4G63 scattershields? I really like how they look. I have a couple of friends with RRE shields, which I understand that you make. If the construction will be similar, then put me at the top of the list. I wouldn't mind having two cars equipped with your scattersheilds.

Thanks for your time,

-=B-=
