I have never seen a display that would be comparable to the one in his write up. If you do find one at radio shack make sure it has the same specs as the one in his write up.

The first A/F's I made used displays from Radio Shack online (made by another manufacturer). They stopped carrying that line of displays, so now you are stuck. You will have to buy the display from another manufacturer. If you put everything in the gauge cluster, then you don't need the enclosure.

thanks, thats sort of what i wanted to hear....one more question...is the display actually a volt meter? or is it just an LCD display....can i get a cheaper just red led display? i was confused on this because you say to adjust the screw in the back...that makes me think that its actually a voltmeter sort of....let me know, thanks doug

Its just a voltmeter. The circuit sets its range, decimal place, and backlight. You can buy similar units from a variety of manufacturers. The little screw adjusts a potentiometer.
