#5989, "bad idle"

i've posted about this beofre and it always gets pushed to the bottom. i have a terrible idle. it's missing, sounds sorta like it has a cam in it. tried new plugs and didn't help and the plug wires look brand new not faded at all. also in the cold when i first start it and start to go it almost stalls out. the miss doesn't stay the whole time if i just barely open the throttle some it levels out. i think i need an IAC. help me out is it time to change the fuel filter? what's up?

Welcome to the club.

The problem with idle issues is that there is a plethora of things that it could be.

Change your fuel filter. Change the plug wires. Just because they look okay on the outside doesn't mean they're okay. Check your sparkplug gap. Check your vacuum lines. Check your EGR. Check your O2 sensors. Check your ISC, and your TPS.

I would check the vacuum lines, every time something is screwed up it' probably due to a bad/disconnected vac line messing stuff up
