Is it a big diffrence over stock ? Was it very noticeable ?

Yes the difference is noticable, more than a caback, intake, or header combined, just imo because I actually have this setup on my car.

Definitely. I dream about the night I installed it, set the idle, and bumped the gas pedal for the 1st time. Amazing difference. My car felt like a hot rod after I got it installed. After a while the feeling wore off. But oh well. Great mod.

yea, just after the install my first time starting it up was a little rough, but then i just barely tap'd the gas and vrrrooommm it the rpms shoot up... the test drive i took it for went well, it's real touchy, coming home from work this morn' i was leavn' a light and i went to roll like normal but i either let out the clutch too quickly or had too much throttle and i chiped my tire twice.

it makes the car feel realy sporty aslo. and i'm gonna see how much gas it gets cuz i just filled up and then i'll see if there is any difference...

it's a great mod, not too hard as long as you have the proper tools

i needed a T15 Star tool to take off the sensors, i bought one from an auto store and go to take the screws out and the damn tool starts to twist!!! they were put in w/lock tight stuff and were a PITA to get out!!! other then that it was fairly simple!!!

and i'm not sure if this is normal i figure it is cuz the ecu has to learn the new whatever about it but for like the first half hour of running the car it would sound like it was missing at idle like instead of the normal rrrrrmmmmmmm of the exhaust u'd hear rrryymmmmm.......rrryyymmmm........rrryyymmmm, but it don't do that now so it's all good

for those of you who say you felt a big difference did you do anything else to ur intake manifold or just put on the t.b and feel the diff. cuz i always thought if u got a bigger t.b u had to do intake man. work?

When I made mine, I didn't portmatch the intake manifold, and it still felt great. Definate gain.

Yep like the others have said. I have it combined with a cai and catback exhuast. The TB will be noticed once you push the throttle.

I just got done installing mine and they're saying the truth, very noticeable gain just that fucking RPM wont go below 2k. Anybody know how to fix it? TIA

score! i finally get to help someone out.

1) Adjust your throttle cable if its the idle. It'd help if you had one or two more people to do this.

2) Go to automotive store and buy "throttle body tension springs" or something to that effect and try this:



All I did was take a piece of aluminum and put it under the nut on the idle screw(?) then attach the spring to the aluminum piece then to the TB arm. Goodluck.

I guess since 60mm > 52mm(or less) there isnt enough vacuum to close the butterfly to where it should be. I could go up to a stop sign or redlight and the rpms would be around 1800-2200. The only way to get them back to normal would be to bump the gas pedal. With this spring it is perfect. I've had it on for close to 800 miles. When you turn your car off, it definitely cuts off.

So who exactly didnt get a bigger intake mani when you went with the 60mm TB ? Because I am hearing that you dont feel a diffrence if you dont get a bigger Intake Mani.

i'll be finding out soon enuff .. gotta send the mo for my intake manifold (p&p w/ 60mm openin) and in a week i get my 60mm tb

You sir have a leak that is causing your idle problem, I had the same problem when I first installed mine. If you're using the thin paper gasket that the 60mmTB came with, dump it and buy some thicker gasket material and make another one out of it. Next apply silicone sealant to both sides, and mount it up tight. Then for the final step reset your ecu by disconnecting the ground wire for 5 min. After I did all this my car now runs at 700k rpms.

well, stocker is 55mm or so.. and the mani i think is like 58... so if you got a 60 tb, then you'd be doin 58 right? so you are only losin 2 mm.. port it out... dremel anyone?

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.

Stock TB is 52mm. AF/x's bored TB is 55mm. The intake mani is around 52mm as well. So there's a big difference between 52 and 60.
