#52020, "Overheating Problem/ Impeller shaft Question to all"
Has anyone experience overheating with the w/p going out without it leaking? I think the impeller shaft is weak or loose. But don't really know. Only on long distance runs I have an overheating problem. I have a new radaitor and I also flushed the system out to. I took out my thermostat but still problem persists. So I'm just going to change my Temp. switch, CTS, and W/P. I can get a refurbished w/p for only 20 bucks. So if it is not that it didn't cost me alot of money. Any suggestions will help. Thanks.

a brand new waterpump is only about $100. Why go with something "refurbished" that you can't count on?
Do a leakdown, you may have a blown HG.

with all that invested in your engine why not go for a fluydine? they are only like 400 now for our cars. would help with all that extra heat that is generated.
