Well after trying to redo my timming to get it all aligned up to tdc, I failed. The car still shrudders, i kno the tdc marks on the camgears were at tdc, but at the crank it was off like less than half a notch, well anyways, on the way home after getting my car back together after all this, I get a cel, P1390, and after searching I got that the timing may have skipped a tooth or something about some sensors, then like a week later, my ps/ac belt shredded, Im guessing I didnt get the AFX UDP on all the way, what do you think? I called mitsubishi and they quoted me $412 for replacing the timing belt, I dont want to spend that, and I would like to do it myself or with sumone, just cuz i like to work on cars, well what do you guys think I should do? I kno during the process PS fluid got everywhere, could that have helped the timing belt skip a tooth? so should I get new belts? damn if so those were $50 gator belts.

And those sensors, could someone please point them out to me, and tell me what to look for.

My car does shrudder, maybe it could be a sparkplug, or an exhaust gasket. Man what do I do, this is just so overwhelming.

Did you use the FSM timing belt procedures? It's a very specific procedure to get everything lined up. Also, it outlines how to test the alignment after it's done - by giving the engine a turn. Did you replace the tensioner as well? It might have given out on you.

With the UDP - I use a air impact wrench to put it on. Basically, I just keep hammering till the bolt doesn't spin any more.

The tensioner is brand new, and I used XtremRS's write up and VFAQs write up.
