i think this was already discussed, search around...it wasnt too long ago if i remember correctly. i dont think it was looking to be very easy, but certainly easier than the 4g swap lol

swap doesn't work cause of the crank trigger ignition u might be able to use the srt4 computer and engine to swap but with all that being so damn expensive why both a pt cruisar or stratus block with that much cash in it would be much faster... and less wire work..

the block is virtually the same..

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.

Actually, the block on the SRT-4 is VERY BEEFY. much stronger then any of the other 2.4 motors. The crank is also strengthened. The timing trigger is off, though, as the other Bill said. I think that my optimal setup would be an SRT-4 block with Pauter rods and Arias pistons. If there is any way to change the timing gear to work with the 2GNT PCM, then I would use the SRT-4 crank. Otherwise, I would use the 2.4L Stratus crank with a line bore.

I was thinking

Since the srt-4 crank position sensor is on cylinder 4 now instead of cylinder 1 maybe it's possible to have the crank reworked to put the same set of notches on the cylinder 1 as the one of the 2.0
result would be a 2.4 engine that is compatible with the 2.0 ecu emoji
no more rewiring, magnet swap etc
