I got an AT. It must not really like me. Friday night i was launching (power brake or whatever you call it), got it to 2200rpms and it just jumped to about 4200rpms without the car moving. When it did that I let off the gas and the brake and went absolutely no where. I tried to launch again and when I let off the brake it just started like it didn't rev it up. Now when I drive the car is laboring to move. No funny noises though. It's just got REALLY slow.

I'm guessing something bad with the torque converter. Any ideas?

Damn Thura (manual swap) You only have a couple (manual swap) weeks to fix it before (manual swap) the shoot out (manual swap). But it (manual swap) does sound like a (manual swap) tosted torque converter (manual swap)to me.

My guess would be a slipping torque converter!!!! Isn't it still under warranty?? I think we carry a 60,000 miles powertrain warranty along with the usual 36,000 bumper-to-bumper warranty.

I know that I have to do something (manual swap) but still no money for now. It doesn't look like I'm gonna be at shootout (flame me now) but it's just not the wisest thing for me to do. That and I don't think that the car needs that long of a road trip. I'll be joining Dino for the "I wish I was going to shootout party"

sorry to hear man. i think i fucked mine up too. maybe maybe not but i have been racing a little and usually after the race i hear a whine from the tranny and stops if i put it in neutral. rpms seem fine and pulls the same. guess i will be going for a manual swap instead of lvl ten for 2 reasons...cost and i hate having an auto and only mask my hatred for the damn thing by saying the usual "i get more head cause i got an auto thing".
