#4768, "Individual Throttle Bodies"

Has anyone installed individual throttle bodies on their RS?
I am currently speaking with David from RPW about having some built. It looks like the cost will come in around $2000. Half of that cost is for a Haltech ECU. Just checking to see if anyone has had any experience with them. Any deas, comments, suggestions? I don't know how often i'll come back here, so e-mail replies would be appreciated. Thanks!

Individual throttle bodys on an Eclipse! Yesss! I can't wait to see the day! Post some pics when you get a chance. When do you think they will become available to the public?

...has a quad body setup for the Neon 420a, I'm not sure whether or not it can't be done to the 2GNT's though.

Yes for the price tag of about $3,800. If we can get one as good for $2k... hell yeah!

I've been thinking about this (since I want it!) The bolt pattern on the head should be the same so the manifold/TBs should bolt up... it's a matter of what size is the set up? Will if fit with out hitting the firewall? If so... I have a design in mind to get cold air to the 4 throttle bodies, with minimal fabrication required.

Lets follow up on this! $2k is easier to save for than $3800... Did some one say possibly group buy emoji

You don't have to worry about your typical Intake manny acturately distributing the air and cutting off circulation. Intake velocity at the TB is unimportant compared to our stock system. I'm not saying it isn't important at all but just that this setup can provide an extra 20HP with accurate tuning(based on other neon performance)

Isn't it obvious that 4 tbs are better than 1? Basically you'd get more direct airflow and that good. The Skyline has 6 and the toyoto AE101 has one like that. I have a picture of a 20 valve modified AE86, I'll post it up tommorow if you wanna see what one looks like. Not sure if it's carbs or tbs though, pretty much the same idea. Yes this mod will make are cars that much more awesome, I wonder how this would make my car run with the turbo...?

Hades are you ready to do some custom work on the plumbing of your turbo? I would think it would help a lot is you can pipe it right.

Illegal? I don't think so... of course in CA I don't know what passes visual inspection and what doesn't so maybe illegal in CA. But in IL if you can pass what spits out your tailpipe they don't care what you have on it.
