Hi, im new with the DSM and heard about some FINAL DRIVE GEAR MOD. I'm not exactly sure what it does or how you do it but I know its a money-saver. Can anyone can give me some information about this mod? Thanks!

hope that link works for you. the final drive mod adds more low end power. McGyvr and everyone else who's done it say it's definitely a good mod. Your speedometer will be off by 5-6 miles and you MPG will drop slightly. I 'll be doing this mod pretty soon too. Tell me how you like it.

I'm also located in S.F. I was wondering if you were going to attempt this one on your own or going to a shop. I'm lacking some of the tools.... hee hee
