go over to neons.org and check it out would be awesome for an upgraded diff and stronger tranny itself with better gears,

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.
If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.

I read the thread, and it seems like its going into production!!! Im surprised no one has posted about this. I know when the final gear mod for the auto's came out i heard like .6 off the et, which seems really high....do yuo guys know how much it actually helped? Im not really familiar with transmission stuff, so how much would this help us manual guys?? My buddy changed his on his mustang, and it made a world of difference!!! I would be really interested in this, can someone fill me in to how much it would help??

By changing the final drive ratio, the wheels will spin faster in lower gears, but for a shorter amoutn of time. So first gear will run out faster but terminate at a lower speed, so to get to the same speed you may need to shift more. I know it's a bad explanation, but I need cofee.

So since you have to shift more, would it be beneficial at all in a qtr mile run?

4.12 = bad gas mileage.. id only do this to a track only car.. not a daily driver.. its not worth the money for the trans or the gas.

Definately a plus for the track. I would like that final drive in a 6 speed with a nice highway gear.
