My buddy and I were wondering and maybe you guys could give some input! We both think it will be alright to put a tube muffler(probably 3" dynomax) in right after the cat. From there we will either run it out the sides--like saleen mustang or just go the distance to original cut out in the back of the bumper with a DTM tip. I chose 3" BTW to let my turbo breathe better. Will heat be an issue? Will this work?

Shit is all apart. Typical...

if your car is lowered i dont think i would change the exhaust position. you dont want to wear a hole through it because it scrapes on every gravel

aem cai
pacesetter headers
gs-t exhaust
red altezzas
rims, tires, and a bunch of other little stuff....that list is way too short....more will come!

Hmmm.... Side exhausts... dual side exhausts... hmmm...

I like the idea, but I really don't know that there is room for it. But not being under my car the moment I couldnt tell you. If you are lowered I think would be a problem like js99rs said.

I have Eibach Pro which is about 1.3 not really that low. Going out the sides shouldn't be bad at all. There are spaces that run to the rear and end right at the side skirt. I'm more concerned about the muffler being right after the cat. I thing heat shield for the most part just make noise when they start to break loose so I hope it's not going to melt undercarrige coating =)
