That's exactly what is was. On any aftermarket ignition amp, you have stage rev limits, my Crane has 2. You can set them with chips, my Crane has built in dials, to pick whatever you want. Best way to do it is to have a momentary switch. As long as the ignition amp sees 12 volts on a certain lead it will hold the preset rev limit. So hold the button down at the starting line as you launch and get going let go and the rev limit is gone and you can run up to the ECU redline.
