#36043, "Important Cam Question! Help Me!"

I am going to buy Stage 2 Crane Cams Tomorrow at 3:00.
How hard are they to install?
If I use Stage 2 Cams How much Power should I expect?
Last, are they a good investment and can I use them with the Hahn Racecraft Turbo?

Cams designed for NA motor are very different than cams made for Turbo apps. I wouldn't use one on the other.

Installing isn't that bad, if you know your way around the car. I had mine done in a under 7 hours. But you'll need a good set of tools, a spare set of hands (to set timing) and a shop manual (you NEED torque specs). This should not be a mod you do first time in the garage. Get a shop manual and look at the proceedure, see if it's somethign you think you can handle.

Yeah Howell is a good place to get the turbo grind for Crane. The right grind for turbo will increase intake duration, but reduce overlap. holding the exhaust valves closed and the intake valves open longer so the turbo can force more air into the cylinders. You will feel the difference. How mucg you gain depends on the rest of your set up. The better your fuel system, the higher the boost. The more you will see from the cams.
