In case you didnt know, i got a new eninge and it has roughly 700 miles on it. Anyway, when i floor it, i've only done this a few times, i smell something. I really cant say what it is. Its not burning oil, its not gasoline, but its a smell.

Is this normal? Will it go away after i put more miles on the engine?

It could be an exhaust leak and when the engine richens up it smells more. Does it smell sort of like gassy exhaust? I noticed you don't have a header. I do and mine leaks right where it meets the block. Normally I don't smell it unless I drive it hard or come to a stop after driving for a while. I know why mine leaks, it's because my friend didn't use any sealer when we put the header on. I would check the exhaust for any cracks or maybe there's a gasket going bad at your cat. Hope this helps a little.

Just noticed you only have 700 miles on the new engine, so it COULD be the engine but I don't know if it would even smell or not. You would have to ask someone who has replaced an engine before.

It isn't a rubbery-burning smell, is it? Wonder if the newly found power is making the tyres spin... emoji
Seriously, though, if it is any kind of an exhaust smell, a leak may be opening up when you nail the throttle and the motor torques back. I had an intermittant leak because of this. My solution? Did I replace the gasket? NO! I got motor mount inserts. emoji At least my new setup has all new gaskets, except for the rear section to muffler portion, and that will all be replaced soon enough. emoji
