Most guys send them out to howell for a 55mm bore. Recently, some guys have been sending them to ARD for a 57mm bore. It cost about the same at each place for the 55mm bore (about a 100) and about 30 bucks more for the 57 at ARD. There is arguement as to whether the extra 30 or so is worth it for the 2mm. I say if you are planning on going turbo or are turbo go for the 57. If not, a 55 gives a real nice throttle response.

i went w/howell, but ard wasnt around... they did port my intake mani, and i wasnt too impressd, but i still felt gains...

55mm is the optimum, or actuallly, its slightly larger than the optimum size for our 1997cc engine (w/stock compression)... afx put up a formula for air flo...

for turbo appications, the bigger the better...

turnaround time was about a week, but send howell 105, not 100, u gotta pay for return shippin too emoji

Send it to Howell. While i know the ARD guys personally, what they say is 57mm is exactly like Howell's 55mm, they just use a bigger throttle plate. ARD's flows more due to some other neat things they do. I can't say how much each costs, but whichever one is cheaper is the one to do - they're honestly exactly the same.
