Well. Two things contribute to holding ability. Clamping force applied to clutch plate pushing to two together. And the friction between the clutch disc and the flywheel. If the material causes more friction and can grip better and it shouldn't slip. I think I would prefer a clutch that did both, raise the clamping force and use a better friction material... who knows
