I notice some people saying there changing there headgasket at 60k miles. Now I that you only had to change the timingbelt and waterpump and belttensioner. Why would you change the headgasket if it was not bad?

Because when the engine was built, Chrysler didn't do such a good job on slapping it together. One of the head bolts aren't set deep enough, causing warping of the head, giving u a bad seal. At least that's just what I heard from around this site. Same goes for the Neon, just worse on those cars. They shoulda put a rotary in it!!!
