I know there are a lot of people in here had already done a 5 speed swap, can you please give me some advise on the wiring stuff? This would really really help me a lot. and make my life much easier. PLEASE!!

Basically can you please explain to me every thing about the wiring for the swap? Like the shifter plug wire, speedometer and the reverse backup light.

Please help me out!!

I have no idea. What you should have done is researched BEFORE you tried to do it. I think their have been a few successfull swaps by people on this board. Someone will answer.

There is a good wiring write up on www.armond30.com at the bottom of the technical info section. As for the shift switch, I am not sure what you are asking?

Sorry, I mean the wires that you suppose to re-connect to make the car start after you change from auto to manual.

I got every thing done except for that. Which when I tried to crank the car it won't start.

Can someone please help me with this, I am so close to finish my transmission swap.

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, there is one wire in the transmission pickup switch that needs to be grounded for the car to start. This is the neutral/park position sensor. Tells the car if it is in neutral or park, as those are the only 2 positions that the car will start in. The wire that must be grounded is black with a yellow stripe. This can be used to wire up the clutch switch. Simply run that wire to one of the wires on the clutch switch harness, and the other wire from the harness to ground.

When you are done, a COMPLETE list of parts would be the best thing since the color blue. I've seen alot of list, but at the end it always says "and some other parts..." or something. Sorry to ask a favor when you need help, but since your doing it now I thought I might jump on it. emoji
