a header would if it were a very long tube design

it wouldn't do anything for the top end, but it should increase power in the lower rpm range

If you have an AT, definitely consider swapping the final drive gear set for those from a Stratus:

I think the gearing has about a 4% higher ratio. This will let the engine apply more torque to the wheels at all RPMs. It will also let the engine run at a slightly higher RPM at the same vehicle speed. In the case of lower RPMs, this will mean a little more available hp at the same vehicle speed. This will mean a slightly higher RPM at cruise in top gear. I wouldn't worry about that though. Top gear is way high for the AT. I could use the extra RPM under most circumstances (mountain cruising).
