would this work out ? if done correctly of course . would the temp be too high or low? any suggestions here ... heat is the biggest problem with the at and cause big damage !!

A temp guage is a temp guage. As long as you mount it in a place where it can read the fluid temp you shoudl be fine. Temp range should be fine. What does your guage read to?

mike i havent bought it yet i was wondering if this would work properly .. do u have any recommendations ... whats the highest you have seen ?

If you haven't bought it yet, go to http://www.autometer.com and take a look through their catalog, I'm sure they have a trans temp guage, then you know you'll have somethign that will work.

I'm using an Autometer trans temp gage. They're only $40 and can tell you when you're running too hot. I figure its a good safety precaution. I made a "manifold" for it with a 1/8 NPT tee and hose fittings. Its mounted inline, before the coolant hits the radiator.

Hey Corbin....did you cut a section in the rubber hose comming out of the trans., before it goes to the hard line? I was thinking of cutting a section out of this hose and making a T fitting....sounds like what you did. I found the perfect parts to use, but was wanting to make sure that's where to install it. Thanks

I put in all new hoses when I did it but the idea is the same. I did some grinding on the inside of the tee and probe with a dremel. I opened up the passages so that the flow wouldn't be impeded. The way I figured out which direction the flow goes, was to pull off one hose and place a rag in between the hose and transmission. Turn the engine over for a half a second. Look on the rag to see which end the fluid shot out of. Heres a pic of were I've got everything placed:
