I have a 96 RS and was wondering if anyone could give me a good guess as to where to set my cam gears when I get them in next week. I travel alot so finding time to do the guesswork is few and far between. Any pointers as to a good setting would be greatly appreciated.
np thats what we are here for. you are runnin stock cams right? i just had my AEM gears installed and havent set them so i dont know about performance. i want to know how much HP i should gain with added compression ????
Not sure. I did a search last night after I posted on the subject and nobody mentioned if they had stock cams, but the general consensus seems to be with the specs you gave me around 5 HP of a jump. I'm just waiting for them to get in and then I can get a new timing belt too. I know of a dyno close by, so I might go ahead and get it done before and after and let you know what the outcome is if I have time. Only other mods I have are CAI and Pace Setter cat back. Looking into a MSD Dis-2 next. I was gonna go with a new header, but from what I have read on here, nobody is getting much of a gain out of them so I think I can wait for the time being on that note. I was looking at either the HKS or getting a custom grind for the cams, not sure which I want yet, any ideas????
