ok what size resistor do I have to use to keep the CEL off, and where does it go??? I have the plates just need the resistor and will not drive around with the CEL on

I was under the assumption that no one had come up with a "sure fire" way to keep the CEL off.

I was under the impression that if you didn't disconnect the egr motor that the CEL wouldn't go off. I have mine blocked off and I don't get a CEL from the egr.

ahh, just pull the bulb out of the back of the instrument panel, i did awhile back, course i have like 15 codes.

same here, just blocked it at the intake manifold, and no CEL

I blocked it at the intake manifold and have the EGR vent to the atmosphere and I DO have a CEL for the EGR.

I want to remove the whole thing, pipe, solenoid, valve etc... The mopar kit I thought comes with a 10w 1.2k ohm resistor but I dont know where to put it.

Mopar it does not come with a resistor, but I'm working on it. Shoul dbe posting my findings after this weekend.

sorry not mopar but there is a guy on the neon board that sells these kits for like 27 bucks and he has a 10w 1.2k ohm resistor that comes with it. I just dont know where to hook it up??????????

Dino is using a resistor in his setup to avoid the CEL. He would be able to help you out Im sure.
