Hi,
I had a bad injector (coil grounded to the case)...
It was a Yellow top, which I believe to be a 510CC injector from an EVOII or some such thing. I could not find a replacement anywhere, but I found a deal on some EVOIII 560cc pink top injectors.
I got this car with some mods already done, so I'm not 100% sure it is a stock fuel rail, but it bolts right up in the factory 420A holes, so I assume it is. It is a '97 car, and it has a feed and return line.
I am having trouble with the (upper) O-rings. I got some brand new 420A Fel-Pro O-Rings, that look pretty much identical in size to the ones I pulled off, but I can't get them to go into the fuel rail with the injectors. I've lubed them up and I have the rail off, but when I push them in while spinning them, etc, the injector wants to slide in without the ring, and it will not go down in the flared section of the fuel rail.
I can get some pics tonight if it will help, but I'm curious if anyone else has problems with these things, or if I'm using something incompatible. They are 4g63/64 injectors I believe, but nobody else seems to have problems. The sizes look identical to the ones I took off, the O-Rings are just too damn big to fit.
