Why would you want to replace your cam gears?? Can you do this without changing cams?? What effect will this have on the car??

You can adjust the overlap between your intake and exhaust valves. I have it without any cams. Dyno'd at a max of 5 hp gain. It's fun to play with though. BTW, I put up a set for sale for $160 shipped from Road Race Engineering - check this post:

Id love to get those gears from ya but i just spent 650 bux beefing up the suspension, its hot dogs and pork & beans here for a couple weeks

Basicallly it's the number of degrees the intake and exhaust cams, overlap the time that both sets of valves are open. With the right set up this can help push out the old exhaust and pull in more air.

future mods(in no particular order):
engine swap
lower it
wheels
seats
exhaust
piant job
turbo wing
hood
body kit
neons all around
head light housing
new altezas (black chrome or what ever)
new stero equipment
and more that will be kept secret for now

You shoudl either dyno tune it for the best results, or do it by feel. Most of us agree than advancing both 2 degrees is good, or intake advance 2, exhaust retard 2.

Hey you still got thos cam gears?? And how hard is it to install them???

Technically they are sold, but I'm waiting for a confirmation email from the buyer before I forward the info to RRE to charge them. You need a shop to install it, and it's best to do when they change your timing belt since they have to get off that stuff anyways.

well if I wait until I need to replace the timing belt it will be a while. I only got 21,000 miles on the car!
