This all began about 2 weeks ago....Giving me trouble starting. Something the car has NEVER had a problem with. And then tonite, Went to go to a friends house, car didn't start on the first crank, started on the 2nd. Backed out of the driveway, went to the stop sign, turned the corner, went to accelerate and it died. Pulled off to the side, put it in park, cranked it....started right up. Let it idle for a few, continued on my way, got about 3 miles away from home, cruising about 50-55, low rpm's, and it died again. Pulled off on a side street. Waited for a few minutes while I called my friend and picked his brain real quick while I checked under the hood, made sure cam sensor was on, plug wires, coil plug, belts were tight. Everything looks good. Went to start it back up, fired for a few seconds then died right away, tried another 4 or 5 times, and then it started up. Managed to get it home....but now the "fun" begins.
Plugs and wires are less than 6 months old. No corrosion on the terminals. Battery is less than a year old, checked the volt meter when it died and it was normal too, so I don't think it's battery or alternator. Hearing the fuel pump prime too. Seems like it only happens when I'm at low or no throttle.
Fuel filter, Coil?
Thanks in advance. This isn't the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last that 2gnt helps me out. ![]()
