edit: and just while im here, use 10w40 valvoline for the break in period. when you FIRST start it let it get to operating temperature before you do anything else. just let it completely warm up. dont rev it, dont do shit. check for any leaks and then do the initial break in:
accelerate (not hard, just cruise) in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. dont really need to go over 65. give it about 40-60% throttle because the rings NEED the pressure. (pch or basilone is good for this) and then DECEL (rpms up, off the throttle, stay in gear and use the engine as a brake) decel down to lower rpms then accel again. dont bring it past about 5000. do this as many times as you can (30x at diff speed/gear combinations) after youve done this...go back to the shop, flush the oil with new 10w40 and use this for about 500-1000 miles. the key to the intitial break in and best possible ring seal is LOAD the rings up (accel, throttle), and then to build strong vaccuum (decel) to encourage ring seal. dont romp the shit out of it, but dont pussy foot it either. 40-60% throttle is fine. again the LOAD aspect is critical. (am i getting repetitive here? lol)
the initial break in oil with have little chunks of shit in it from assembly lube and micro metal fragments from the rings seating and whatnot. a good majority of the ring sealing is done when it FIRST fires and makes compression, but the first 20 miles are critical.
your motor should be just fine, just dont turbo it until its broke in man....especially with whatever random fuel system you have. break in the motor THEN dial in your fuel and boost. my best advice.
