I still haven't seen an answer to the question of are your coil wires reversed? Let's see, on my 97 the brown wire goes to coil 2 + 3 and the blue black wire goes to 1 + 4. The center wire I'm not sure of the color off hand (and I'm watching the game right now).
If that's OK, I would say to double check the cam sensor connection and the crank. Two common areas of concern after putting the engine in and having spark problems.
Crap, I shouldn't answer this while I am watching the game. I just noticed that it was the cam and crank sensor plugs that you cut. Obviously, double check schematics on the plugs and double check connections. Were they soldered? Possibly a bad connection in there? Like I said previously, these are areas of concern when putting in an engine and not gettingt spark. Captain Caveman
