#119939, "How to replace and wire a crankshaft pos sensor plug?."
I went to change the crank pos sensor and it broke off in the engine so i drilled it out and baught a new one but the new one had a different plug on it i was confused then i went to everyone around looking for a different sensor yesterday and everyone had the same thing. Turns out to be that they had a recall on the plug that plugs into the factory sensor ;[ So i got to the dealer and they sell me a plug with a bunch of wires in it extras im guessing cause its a 3 wire plug but to use this plug i have to cut off the old one and crimp in the new one . Came with a couple heat shrink wrap tubes too. the thing is all the wires they gave me are all the same color and i dont know what matches up to the factory wires and i cant find a diagram for it anywhere ;[[[
Pins, from left to right, with orienting tab at top, looking towards the sensor, for 97-99's: 1 - Yellow wire - to male pin 3 on MFI harness, to pin 10 on ECU harness A83 2 - Black wire/Green stripe - to male pin 2 on MFI harness, to pin 7 on ECU Harness A82 3 - Blue wire/White stripe - to male pin 1 on MFI harness, to pin 23 on ECU harness A83
MFI harness is 10-pin intermediate connector between sensors and ECU, and is located under throttle body.
