well I've been throwing belts for 6 months now and I have tried tightening down the crank pulley with I'll my force and a 2 ft lever bar (I am about 300 pounds) It wasn't going anywhere. So I'm gonna start replacing shit because its starting to get hot. My question is: how hard is it to put the bearing in the idler. I was searching old posts and found the part number 6301 and found it on Mcmaster-Carr for $7.44 I called napa and they wanted 25 bucks for it.

1) Loosen the bolt off 200ftlbs because it's obviously stuck, and hit it with an IMPACT WRENCH, that's the ones that make noise and use air. The IMPACT part is what drives the pulley on farther, not the torque. Take it to any crappy tire shop, turn the wheels hard right, and let the mechanic monkeys hit it thru the wheelwell.
2) There's no idler on the accessory belts, only the timing belt. The pulley above the powersteering pump is the accessory tensioner pulley.
