Cause it's not there. Not true. The only thing you might want to do with mounts is upgrade (poly's or solid etc.). I check my mounts with the car running, in gear, E-brake on and I bounce the clutch to look for engine movement. I DON'T recomend that you do this. The sane way would be to lever the engine around with a crow bar or something (or you can use a jack to lift the engine a little) and look for slop. Sometimes, if you get an eye in there, you can actually see the rips.
