Everytime I start from a stop my car shudders. I have a Spec stage 2+ clutch and I thought it was clutch chatter but when I put the clutch in I guess I was supposed to reposition a mount somewhere. I couldn't find it anywhere on this site so......... thats my problem.

Cause it's not there. Not true. The only thing you might want to do with mounts is upgrade (poly's or solid etc.). I check my mounts with the car running, in gear, E-brake on and I bounce the clutch to look for engine movement. I DON'T recomend that you do this. The sane way would be to lever the engine around with a crow bar or something (or you can use a jack to lift the engine a little) and look for slop. Sometimes, if you get an eye in there, you can actually see the rips.

If you already have poly inserts, the shudder you feel may simply be engagement vibration being transmitted to the body.

Bad motor mounts usually result in a clunking noise leaving a stop and braking.

If you upgrade to solids you will only need one in the front roll stop position. That's all I've run and she's been launched more times than I could count.

Keep in mind that if you go solid, you will have a heck of a lot more vibration at all times. Never bugged me (even as a daily) but I know that the just polys bugged others.

Mark is right. I have a couple friends that absolutely hate riding in my car since I got the Prothane motor mount inserts. The car does vibrate more, but I don't care that much.
