Hey man, sounds like a fun car, but I recommend that you ask for a Dyno Sheet, and do a carfax report on the car.

I don't think there is anything wrong with buying a modded car either emoji

For your questions, I think you should talk to the person that's selling it. He will best know the set-up and the tuning of the car. Then play with it emoji

Yeah and check it out under the hood and drive it. I talked to this guy here locally who had a 1g AWD that had a ported head and had a T3/T4 that he was shooting for 11's. He had already put most of it back to stock besides the ported head and ARP head studs. When I met him to test drive it he told me that the cotter pin on the wastegate had fallen out and the car wasn't making any possitive boost pressure without the pin. Well I drove it and it boosted to 3 psi max. When I looked under the hood there was some oil in different places around the engine bay. Needless to say I didn't buy the car because I am thinking that if the car boosted up it may have blown something and the guy was trying to get rid of it. Take it to a mecahanic and have them run a compression test on it too.
