I just finished pulling all the wire for my gauges, wideband, boost controller, etc., and put the finishing touches on my fuel system. I haven't hardwired any of them to 12v power yet. My question is this, can I plug the battery in and turn the key one click to test out my 12v switched sources so I can know where to wire everything? I am not going to cycle the engine obviously but I also do need to cycle the fuel pump and drain the old fuel out of the tank into a bucket. Is this a safe thing to do? I do see any issues with it as long as I don't cycle the engine but I thought I'd ask the pros. The intercooler piping isn't installed and the tranny has no fluid. Thanks in advance!

As long as everything is fused properly I don't see any harm with it. If you are really concerned pull the ASD relay and the ECU harnesses but thats overkill really.
