#112676, "2.4 ?'s"

I'm considering the 2.4 swap since I need to tear the 2.0 down again. I already have the fidanza cam gears, but will they work with the 2.4, or would I have to go back to the stockers and flip them for the 2.4 side. Also, is the timing belt the same for the 2.4 as the 2.0? Since I won't be boosting, if I find a block with internals in good condition can they be reused or do I need to find pistons to work with the swap?

Thanks

The guys that did the 2.4 swap I have read alot about it. My question is parts everyone did it a little different. what is the best way to go. brackets, oil pump/pan, accesories and what not I spent 5 hours reading yesterday. Im trying to make a shopping list of what I need to ebay or find at a yard. also as a reference for my shop when they do this swap for me.

Did anyone make the kit to do this ill buy one

I would pay $50 considering you already know how to make one and don't need to mock one up. I dunno how much your time is worth though emoji

So you can use a 2.0L head but you need the 2.4L cam gears, or is that just with the 2.4L head?

You need the 2.0L head, and can either use the stock cam gears(If you flip them around you will see they say 2.4L on them, so you use the 2.4 side out) or you would have to buy aftermarket cam gears for the 2.4L engine.

hard to tell since we aren't using the 2.4 in a stock form
on cloud cars and pt the 2.4 has a very low redline and is stated at 150 hp around 5300 rpm and 160 to 168 of torque depending of the model

but those numbers are worth shit since we change so many parts including the head and both manifolds when we do the swap
