Grabbed the laptop when I headed down; stealing signal from somewhere I appreciate the words of support Bri. As you know with anything like this, it's two steps forward one step back. I've been pretty fortunate in that I have had a lot of forward steps and no too many in reverse.
This engine build has been fighting me for some reason. Just various little bullshit things to slow me down. So this is just one more thing to work on. I'm actually kinda happy it happened like this (except for the co$t side of this) because it allows us to see the limits of flow (IF my assumptions are correct ). We can also see how much an intake can affect our engines.
Yeah, it could be the head, valves, exhaust (all part of the flow path), but I am highly suspicious of our intake design anyway (for making high flow NA power). I'm 99% on the intake. And, of course, as slo2g points out, if I get an intake made that works, we'll have an easier path to stuff the air through on turbo. Now who wants to make the LTH?
PLEASE don't take this as support for the OBX, far from it. I know I'm going to have to work to get it to fit properly (I'm fortunate in that I don't need the map). I'm fully aware that the thing will crack relatively quickly. It's just being used as a POSSIBLE band aid.
But then wouldn't it really suck if it was something goofy like a couple of collapsed lifters or something (nah, it's not that). Captain Caveman
