i just rebuilt this engine and now its not starting. the engine rotates but does not start. its getting fuel and a spark but just will not turn over. if one of the cyliders is not getting gas it sould just misfire then. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO ANY MORE!!!! is there any other reason why it will not start, HELP PEASE!!!!!

Check the cam and crank angle sensors, check that the cams are not 180* out of phase, check the timing, check the engine codes if you have a CEL.

Run a compression test on the engine. If you have zero compression in all your cylinders, it's safe to say you've got a cam in 180* out. It happens. I had my intake cam in 180-out and we spent hours cussing, drinking beer, swearing, drinking more beer, verbally abusing the car, drinking even more beer, and smoking half a pack of Kamel Red Lights before we figured out what it was.

i looked in the book and i couldnt find were the crank angle senser is. i just found the cam sen thats on the end of the cam. were is the crank angle senser

thanks guys for all the help, the reason why it wasnt starting was the cam bearing were backwerds. i was drining to many beers that night and did not notice.

"CAUTION" DRINK A CASE OR BEERS WHEN WORKING ON YOUR CAR!!!! lol
