when above 3500rpm or 4000rpm. the gear is usually 3rd that i am in when this happens. The car will just shift into neutral, i press clutch pedal and shift right back into gear and all is fine

FYI all fluid levels are fine

The motor and clutch were just swaped out and are brand new, the clutch is a clutch masters, and the motor is from a 1997 gs, the swap went perfect.

if there are any questions please feel free to ask

thanks for all your help in advance

Had that problem. Never cracked open the case but there was alot of wear on my shift fork and my throw out bearing was hosed.

SHe'd pop out of whatever gear she felt like. Syncros might be bad.

usually when the T350 pops out of gear, the dog teeth on the slider and / or speed gear are worn.

the throwout bearing was just replaced as well, so it should not be that.

Would it be better to just replace trans?

also on another note, this is the same trans that was in the car prior to the motor swap, it always ran fine and never ever popped out of gear like this. i am wondering if the shift linkage maybe shady, can someone tell me how to adjust this? I have a service manual so a page would help as well

thanks again guys

Could be the clips that hold the cables to the trans (my issue last week) or it could be the bushings that go in the shifter cable heads, the ones that sit inside the rubber peice, like a washer with a raised section that fits inside the rubber. If you forgot those, you can end up with excess slop that isn't allowing the lever to move where it should and let you engage whatever gear you are selecting fully.
