Yes the eclipse is a modular clutch. Next thing is to remove the "performance IAT chip". All that does is trick the ECU into thinking the engine is colder than it is. This causes the ECU to advance timing and richen the fuel. This has caused damage on some platforms. Take it out and throw it away, it is not adding any performance.

Just to reiterate the point, our tranny's are awfully strong. They can take a beating (words of experience. Speed shifting @ 7600rpm on a 200k tranny that is still going strong).
