#4219, "whats up with my trans?"

only when the motor and tranny are COLD does it not want to shift into first at all when stopped unless i rev it up a little bit. and once i get it in gear, it seems like the clutch is partially engaged still. also sometimes have a hell of a problem downshifting into second (intermittenly) unless i rev match it. if i come to a stop in gear it bogs out and acts strange unless i pull it into neutral (once again, intermittenly...) trans fluid is new and full, i bled the whole system and the clutch pedal feels perfectly normal. i noticed the clutch fluid was really murky like its been eating a seal or something, so i basically flushed the whole system. could my master or slave just be acting up on me?

once the car is warm though its much easier to get into gear.. emoji

is my tranny on its way out or what?

Could be a speed gear bearing crapping out and binding.

mother fuckin spec stage 3...its all pointing to that

ive talked to a few guys on here and they were having the same problems, its a spec thing....

fuck, so yank my trans and send it back for another one and risk having the same problems again or just go with a southbend or CM clutch.

its really weird though, its very intermittent....and doesnt do it all the time. its just weird to me that it just decides to start acting like a dumbass 10,000 miles after i installed it

well isnt that hilarious...i have 10k on mine, and its being a bitch...

i e-mailed spec and this is what they sent me:

We haven't had any documented pressuer plate issue on that application, so I have no info for you. Maybe it's just a linkage wearing or maybe some pilot runout has caused a spring to pop out of the disc..?/ What does the pedal feel like..any different than normal?
