#2664, "Ok, so i called clutchmasters today and..."
I asked them if ther flywheels for the modualer clutches were oem replacment, or if they were lighter. As im sure many of you already know, there are not lighter. But then i thaught to my self, "whats the point, when i can spend about the same amount of money and get an aluminum flywheel and non-modualar clutch for a neon." Whitch leads us to my question...
Can i get a flywheel and a clutch for a neon, my car is a 95. So what year neon clutch/flywheel, if any will work? thanks don

The base flywheel with the CM is a stock replacement. You can upgrade to an aluminum flywheel with them.
We also sell Spec clutches that are modular style, and stock weight and you can get them with an aluminum flywheel upgrade.
If you want to convert to a non-modular set up, yes you can. I wouldn't makes dropping trans or engine a bit more involved, as you need more clearance to get past the flywheel/clutch combo, and the fun of aligning the splines up.

OK, i checked out youre web site, and i noticed that it said the stage 3 spec clutch that it would be $375 for the aluminum flywheel upgrade, is that upgrade just the addition of the spec clutch aluminum modular flyweel? or is that flywheel like the stock pressure plate that you have to bolt the flywheel to? Cuz, if all i have to buy is the stage 3 and the flywheel, im down, how much for shipping to milwaukee?

I have heard....and i mean heard never seen that a lightened flywheel is problematic on our motors because the rps drop more rapidly it confuses the ECU and causes small issues. cant remember the details...anyone?
