Is there any company out there that builds race transmisions for the 420a or even just performance parts... I dont want my trany to die with a stage 3/4 clutch and lsd when i get them... any help would be appreciated
Edit: Also im not going turbo... staying na w/ high comp and NX direct port Brad Williams 1996 Eclipse GS 15.98 @ 87.04 Screw the show stuff... I want more speed!!! Need a stock 420a part....I probably have it for ya! PM me (96EclipseGS On ColumbusDSM.com)

Not really, no.
But then, you most likely won't kill it, either.

I'll just let Hahn do the talking on this matter:
"Yes, the transmissions in these cars are amazingly durable, but not unbreakable...after over a hundred 12, 11 and 10 second passes, this one did finally fail a ring and pinion. I am not bothered by this, as Hondas running similar power to weight ratios typically get only a few passes before the trans is junk. We have also run these same transmissions in high nine-second Drag Neons with success."
If you're making that much power, then you can think about an alternative tranny. If not...don't worry. It's not like we got stuck with the crap Mitsu trannys ;p
