1st off you'll notice I baught the stronger hex type bolts.(above) I compair them below
Tie a thin strong rope to (2) 8mm fine pitch blots and give it a few tugs
The pump is out!
After removeing the Pump cover (the shaft comes with it) this is what you'll see.
Inspect the shaft for burs and burns.. as u can see this shaft is burnt to hell and needs to be replaced
Remove and inspect inner gear. (this looks fine)
Remove and inspect outer gear (again fine)
And believe it or not thats it.... use a very very thin layer of RTV when sealing the pump assem. In this pump all we have to replace is the cover/shaft assem.

Now our auto transmission seem like less and less of a mystery and actually it is possible to repair it at home.
What are the specs to put this thing back together?
