So after putting on my new radiator, I took my car for a test drive to see how it goes...after about 5 min. of driving, my tranny stays stuck on neutral, then couple of seconds later it goes back on drive. It did this continuously until I found somewhere to double park. I looked under the car and found out that one of the lines from the auto trans to the radiator was loose; transmission oil was leaking so that was the problem. I tightened the hose back up and refilled it until it reached the right level. So after starting it up again, the car would be able to shift gears for about a min. and then for some reason it stays stuck on "park." Whether you set it on "R, D, 2, L" or even neutral the car would not move. Did my transmission just f*cked up on me or do I need more fluid? Cuz I added more fluid right after I turned my car off and right now my car is stranded in some other neighborhood. THanks

i only ran it for about 3-5 min. after I noticed that I was stuck on neutral. It would hesitate to stay on "drive" because of lack of fluid I guess. I didnt really smell the fluid. I dont believe I lost more than 2-3 quarts of oil. thanks!

Well, I managed to drive it back home but it was pretty dangerous...whenever I set it on "D" the car would stay on neutral until I rev it a few times, then it would go to "D;" but when it does it lacks power. It would constantly switch back to neutral if I come to a full stop, then I would have to rev it several times again until it jolts back to "D." Once I got home, there was a very strong burning smell, but I couldnt tell where it was coming from. It was kind of a sweet smell but not sure...it was very strong though and was coming from the engine bay...I really hope I didnt fuck up the tranny big time. I checked the tranny fluid level before I drove it and it was slightly above the mark (the highest hole). If you can think of any reason for these problems please let me know, thank you.
